Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Bombat Kannada ("we", "us") is a spoken-Kannada learning app run by Tiramai HR Consulting Services LLP. This policy explains what we collect when you use the app at app.bombatkannada.com, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to work.

What we collect

InformationWhy
Your email address, or your mobile number, or your Google account's name and emailTo create your account and sign you in
A 4-digit PIN, if you choose email and PIN — stored only as a one-way scrambled (hashed) value, never readable by usTo sign you in
The name you give and an age band you chooseTo greet you and to pitch lessons sensibly
Your learning progress: lessons and steps done, words practised, streaks, cards collectedSo your progress is saved and follows you across devices
Messages you send us through Help & support or feedback, with the app version, your device/browser type and the screen you were onTo answer you and fix problems
If you joined through a friend's share link, which account shared itTo know which learners bring friends, and to offer referral benefits
Payment records when paid plans start (plan, amount, date, payment reference). Card and UPI details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.To give you what you paid for, and for tax and accounting

Speaking practice: where the app offers to listen to you say a word, it uses your browser's own speech recognition (for example, Chrome sends that audio to Google to turn it into text). The app itself does not record, receive or store your voice.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell your information, and we do not show ads.

How we use your email

We use your email only to send sign-in and PIN-reset codes, to reply when you write to us, and to send updates about the app. We never use it for third-party advertising and never share it for marketing. You can ask us to stop updates at any time.
